Mr. President, you want a healthier America? Here’s a clue.

Dear Mr. President, all politics aside. I really don’t like what I’ve seen of Trumpcare. And neither did I like Obamacare. Why? Because neither one of them provide “healthcare.” What they supposedly seek to provide is better access to affordable health insurance. But of what good is health insurance when having it facilitates access to more prescription drugs and vaccines—which cause a tremendous amount of harm, injury, and death. You really wanna know how to begin to markedly improve the health of the American people? First, identify those things that are making us unhealthy, sick, chronically ill. Here’s a great clue for you. The list below outlines vaccine schedule recommendations from the CDC. Crazy, ain’t it?

  • After Birth: First dose of hepatitis B vaccine.
  • 1-2 Months: Second dose of hepatitis B vaccine.
  • 2-4 Months: First and second dose of polio vaccine.
  • 2-6 Months: Three doses each of rotavirus; diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough (DTaP); Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib); and pneumococcal vaccines.
  • 6 Months: Start yearly doses of influenza vaccine.
  • 6-18 Months: Third dose of hepatitis B vaccine, third dose of polio vaccine.
  • 12-15 Months: Single doses of Hib; pneumococcal measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR); and chicken pox (varicella) vaccines.
  • 12-23 Months: First dose of hepatitis A vaccine.
  • 15-18 Months: Fourth dose of DTaP vaccine.
  • 24 Months: Second dose of hepatitis A vaccine.
  • 4-6 Years: Boosters for DTaP, polio, MMR, and varicella.
  • 11-12 Years: Three doses of the HPV vaccine are recommended for all children in this age group regardless of gender, plus one dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine and a DTaP booster.
  • 13-18 Years: One dose of the serogroup B meningococcal vaccine and a booster of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine.

  1. What’s crazy about it? Vaccines are FAR safer than prescription drugs, and they have a nearly universal, cost-effective, beneficial effect upon humanity. Vaccines have increased life expectancy (by reducing infant mortality) more than any other kind of medicine. Their use represents the most successful applied science in recorded history.

Apparently you are not old enough (as I am) to remember life before these vaccines. I had pals die from both kinds of measles, and from meningitis. My son and his classmates never lost friends to these diseases. My parents grew up when there were polio wards and iron lungs in every hospital. Thank God (and vaccines) those days are gone.
