Puny victimhood

“I make the best deals. I shut down the haters. I am the world’s best negotiator.”
— Donald Trump

The best dealmaker of all time ain’t doing so well these days. I mean, being a great dealmaker assumes you’re talking about dealing with your adversaries, your competitors, your critics, or anyone who just doesn’t plain like you or agree with you. Anyone can be a great dealmaker with their friends and relatives and colleagues—people who generally care for you and share your values or goals. Nope. The greatest dealmaker of all time is now resigned to puny victimhood, whining and complaining constantly that everyone is against him, no one wants to play nice with him. Ahhhh… Welcome to Washington, DC baby!
