With this morning’s press conference at the National Press Club, what Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Nico LaHood, Robert De Niro, and Del Bigtree did was give some exposure to the issue of vaccine safety, notably with regard to mercury in vaccines. It also highlighted the need for more transparency within the CDC with regard to fraudulent studies that have been cited to prove vaccines are safe and do not cause autism.
Most of all, the press conference managed to keep alive President Trump’s idea of forming a special commission to investigate the safety of vaccines and their possible link to the growing autism epidemic. There is a window of opportunity on this issue and it is unclear how long it will remain open. The danger is that it is one of those ideas that may gradually be overtaken by other issues and events.
Mr. President, I urge to get on with it. You know there exists a crisis of historic proportions here. You feel it in your bones. Your gut microbiome has not betrayed you. You wanna leave a legacy? Something people will remember you by a thousand years from now? It’s staring you right in the face. Reach out and grab it. Now. The President’s Commission on Autism and Vaccine Safety. Hey, what do you have to lose, right?
