Unreliable contraptions

If I had a computer or a car that worked 50 percent or less of the time, and each time I pushed the start button or turned on the ignition switch there was a decent chance that the damn thing would blow up and cause me to be taken to a hospital emergency room, I think I’d just avoid the contraption altogether and find other means. And yet, people continue to get their flu shot every year. Go figure.
