Congratulations to Iraqi security forces, supported by the US, on their defeat last week of ISIS forces in the city of Fallujah, a key command and control base for ISIS. The battle to liberate Fallujah from ISIS took less than five weeks. Impressive win. Big news. Or at least should’ve been. The news was overtaken this week by the terrorist bombing of Ataturk airport in Istanbul. ISIS is believed to be behind the bombing, which would lead one to speculate, “Was the attack in Turkey meant to overshadow the embarrassing military loss in Iraq?” Sometimes, terrorist attacks are acts of desperation designed to hide the fact that the perpetrators are nowhere as strong and threatening as the public is led to believe by those who stand to benefit most from shamelessly spreading fear and doom.
Congrats on the win in Fallujah
