Warped nationalism

Perhaps the biggest problem with the myth of “American Exceptionalism” is that it makes it almost impossible for Americans (the ones in the United States) to accept any wrongdoing for anything in the world. It’s as if you cannot critique the US without getting the usual, “Ah, there you go again blaming the US for everything” or “Yeah, of course, it’s the US’ fault, right”. It’s odd, but it is those who most tend to react this way who are often the ones always ragging on how horrendous and dangerous the US government is. Denial always contributes to a warped sense of nationalism.
