“Compassion is no substitute for justice.” -Rush Limbaugh

Actually, compassion is one of the steps you have to take before there can be justice. The problem is that Rush’s perception of “justice” is a narrow one based more on retribution or the mandate of “an eye for eye, tooth for a tooth” in the Hebrew Scriptures, as opposed to the more expansive and enlightened view of Jesus of Nazareth’s “justice” based more on giving, sharing, and forgiving.
