Capital Gains

Paying no taxes (or very little) on capital gains makes sense from a very narrow standpoint. It doesn’t make sense if you’re looking to prevent an over-concentration of wealth and power. Too much wealth and power in the hands of a very few corrupts democracy. In fact, it eliminates democracy, because then what rules is the money of the very few, not the general interests of the many.
