Rich and poor

Presidential elections are usually won by the candidate who most succeeds in framing the narrative. This year’s narrative is increasingly less about job creation and the economy or US leadership in the world… and more about the growing gap between the rich and the poor, the fairness of this inequality, and how it is contributing to the destruction of the American middle class. The Occupy Wall Street movement has succeeded in creating awareness of the problem, and Mitt Romney’s campaign has helped fuel it.
