Ask yourselves, “Where are Hugo Chavez, Daniel Ortega, Rafael Correa, and Evo Morales in all of this?” They are off on the sidelines, barely being heard, and having absolutely no impact on the issue of Honduras. I don’t think that it is simply an accident that they are non-players. They’ve been squeezed and outplayed. Even though they have a habit of doing a lot of screaming, they are not being heard. They have become inconsequential. I think that that has been one of the goals of US foreign policy toward Honduras.
