An evolving resistance

Interesting point about the evolution of the resistance in Honduras… that apparently it is no longer really about Zelaya and Micheletti, but rather about the desire to elect a National Constituent Assembly that supposedly better represents the interests of the people (primarily the poor). One of the primary duties of the Assembly would be to review and re-write the Constitution to allow for the creation of a “participatory democracy”. This is what Mr. Zelaya had in mind, and that (along with his relationship with Mr. Chavez) is what fueled his overthrow. If it is true that the resistance on the streets throughout Honduras is morphing into something different than what is mainly being reported by the international media, then this political crisis may indeed just be getting started.
