Mr. Zelaya and Ms. Rodas rule by demands and threats and insults and coercion. This is the way they governed Honduras. This is why they are dangerous. I don’t think they really know or care what democracy means. Regardless of whether the “coup” or “not coup” were right or wrong, legal or illegal… Mr. Zelaya should not be allowed to return as president of Honduras. I think we are way past the point of principles. I think Honduras is now at the point of doing whatever is necessary to survive as a fragile and imperfect democracy. The alternative with Mr. Zelaya and Ms. Rodas is too dark to contemplate.
