I agree that peaceful insurrections are possible. I look at what Gandhi did in India to rid the country of British rule and what Martin Luther King did in the US to win civil rights for African-Americans. But these men used entirely different language than what is coming out of Mr. Zelaya’s mouth, different tactics and different strategies. Insurrections usually take on the character and personality of its leaders. Observe Mr. Zelaya’s character and personality, and you will see the type of insurrection that would take form. It is not pretty. Of course, this assumes that Mr. Zelaya has the unique talents, brilliance, organizational skills, and vision to inspire an insurrection in the first place. Whatever Mr. Zelaya is, he is no Gandhi or King.
